We're pleased to announce that our new production tax credit, Act 88, has proved to be a tremendous success since it went into effect July 1, 2006. A wide array of productions -- ranging from major Hollywood features and television shows, to numerous national and international commercials -- have generated more than $200 million in direct expenditures in Hawaii and created more than 5,000 jobs. The credit offers a 15% rebate back on all qualified production expenses on the island of Oahu, and 20% back on all expenses on the Neighbor Islands (Kauai, Maui, Molokai, Lanai, and the Big Island of Hawaii).
